Leadership is understanding the trail ahead may involve detours

The Doors Are Open. Come In Curious.
There is a funny thing about launching something you care about.
Before launch, you are checking everything. The videos. The descriptions. The links. The links again, because apparently you no longer trust your own clicking finger.
Then the doors open.
You take a breath, look around, and remember why you built it in the first place.
For me, LG3 began with a simple belief: professional learning should help you do something better. Ask a sharper question. Spot a problem sooner. Explain an issue clearly enough that someone actually knows what to do next.
It should also feel human.
We have enough complicated things to navigate at work without making the learning unnecessarily complicated, too. Nobody should need a decoder ring to understand a course about communicating clearly. That would be a rather embarrassing plot twist.
At LG3, we explore subjects that show up in real working lives: construction audit, fraud, project management, communication, and the growing role of AI. These subjects overlap more than we sometimes recognize.
A project problem may reveal a fraud risk. A useful audit finding may lose its impact through poor communication. An AI tool may save time, provided someone checks what it produces before sending it into the world wearing the company logo.
That is where curiosity earns its keep.
“What am I missing?”
“Why do we do it this way?”
“What would happen if this control failed?”
Those questions can open doors that experience alone sometimes leaves closed. Because even experienced professionals can get comfortable. I certainly can. Familiarity has a sneaky way of putting its feet up.
My hope for LG3 is that it gives you somewhere to stretch your thinking, build confidence, and pick up practical tools you can carry back to work.
You do not need to arrive knowing everything. You do not even need a perfectly organized learning plan.
Come with a challenge. Come with a question. Come with that little voice saying, “There must be a better way to do this.”
Now that the doors are open, I have another wonderfully troublesome question to wrestle with: what should I teach next?
My notebook is not suffering from a shortage of ideas. If anything, it needs adult supervision.
But choosing the next course takes more than finding a subject I could happily talk about for two hours. I want to know where people are getting stuck. What keeps landing on their desks that they feel unprepared to handle? Which conversation, decision, or recurring problem would become easier with a little practical guidance?
That is the part I take seriously. Your time matters, and a course should earn its place in your day.
So, tell me: what would you love to understand better, handle more confidently, or finally stop wrestling with at work?
Your answer might help shape what comes through the LG3 doors next.
The doors are open.
Let’s see where your curiosity takes you.
