Learn It. Grow It. Own It.

Here we come

You Don’t Need Another Course. You Need to Use What You Already Learned.

I am about to say something that may be a rather questionable marketing strategy for someone launching a learning company.

You probably don't need another course.

There. I said it.

Please don't tell the LG3 marketing department.

Actually, since I'm fairly certain I am the LG3 marketing department, we're probably safe.

Most professionals I know are not suffering from a lack of information.

Quite the opposite.

We have books we haven't finished. Webinars we attended while answering emails. Articles saved somewhere in a folder called “READ LATER,” which apparently means sometime before retirement.

We have conference notebooks filled with brilliant ideas.

We have certificates from courses we barely remember taking.

And somewhere on our computer is probably a PDF called something like:

FINAL_Training_Notes_FINAL_v3_REALLYFINAL.pdf

We are surrounded by information.

The problem isn't always learning more.

Sometimes the problem is doing something with what we've already learned.

When Learning Becomes Collecting

Professional development can become strangely addictive.

We attend a webinar and hear a great idea.

I'm going to use that.

Then Monday happens.

Meetings. Emails. Deadlines. A crisis that apparently requires twelve people and an emergency Teams call.

By Thursday, that brilliant idea has quietly joined all the other brilliant ideas in the professional development graveyard.

So we sign up for another course.

And another.

And another.

We're learning.

But are we growing?

There is a difference.

Knowledge Doesn't Change Anything Until You Use It

Suppose you take a course on better project risk management.

You learn ten new techniques.

Excellent.

But if you go back to work and continue managing risk exactly the same way you did before the course, what changed?

You have more knowledge.

But you haven't necessarily grown.

Growth happens when something moves.

Maybe you ask one better question at the next project meeting.

Maybe you change one part of your audit program.

Maybe you finally challenge a report that nobody understands.

Maybe you experiment with an AI tool you've been avoiding.

Maybe you have the conversation with your team you've been postponing for three months.

It doesn't have to be revolutionary.

Sometimes professional growth begins with one tiny:

“I'm going to try this differently.”

The 24-Hour Rule

Here's something I'd like you to try.

The next time you read an article, attend a webinar, listen to a podcast or take a course, ask yourself one question:

What will I do differently in the next 24 hours because of what I just learned?

Not next quarter.

Not when things calm down.

And definitely not “someday.”

Because someday is already extremely busy.

Pick one thing.

Write it down.

Try it.

Then see what happens.

That's when learning stops being something you consume and starts becoming something you own.

And That Is Why We Built LG3

This philosophy sits right at the heart of LG3.

I didn't want to build another place where professionals collect certificates, download a PDF and disappear.

There are already plenty of places to do that.

I wanted to create somewhere people could learn something, try something, ask questions, come back, challenge an idea, share what happened and keep growing.

Courses are part of it.

Playbooks are part of it.

Coaching is part of it.

Our free learning community is part of it.

But none of those things matter unless something happens after you learn.

That's why our name carries a little promise:

Learn it. Grow it. Own it.

And on September 9, we're opening the doors.

I'll tell you much more about what's waiting inside LG3 as we get closer.

But today, I don't want you to sign up for anything.

I want you to do something much harder.

Think about the last useful thing you learned.

Got it?

Good.

Now ask yourself:

What did I actually do with it?

And if the answer is “nothing yet”...

Excellent.

You just found your assignment for Wednesday.
